First of all, I know this introduction is pretty rough, so don’t hesitate to ask if you need help.
Dashboard
The widgets on the bottom left corner represent the current status of your HC-Chat instance. All need to have a green tick in order for the app to work without any problems.
- On the left is the widget checker which tells you whether you added the HC-Chat Widget in any of your scenes.
- The widget in the middle will warn you if we couldn’t establish a connection to Streamlabs (for your data and the CDN)
- If Twitch is reachable will be shown within the right widget
Settings
If you experience any trouble with the widget please activate this option. This will show additional debugging options within the widgets:
All boards
In contrast to HC-Boards you’ll have the option to add and remove bords. You assign boards to a widget by editing the Widget properties.
Board View
You can add and remove several entries here and disable or rename the board using the
button.
Entry-Detail View
This is the most complicated screen. Grab some tea and let’s get started.
AREA A
This area represents your sources (can be more than one in a MixedBoard). You can upload or link a file that needs to be reachable from the web. This little dialog also checks if the file is not too large and the correct file type.
AREA B
Area B is separated into three subareas (Animation won’t be visible within the SoundBoard). Not all options are available on each board.
The Trigger Tab defines the chat command which will be used to play the effect. You can also set the role and the timeout between two commands here.
The Playback Tab sums up how the entry gets played including the volume and the duration (for still images). GIFs can be set to be looping with a specific duration or if they’ll get only played once.
The Animation Tab represents the start and stop animation for Entries with Images or Videos.
Widget Selection
After you added a widget to your scene you can double-click to bind the source. You’ll be greeted with the following screen:
Simply click on the board and save it to bind it to the widget.
